New Fare at a Williamsburg Favorite. Green Leafe launches new menu!
Friday, 29 January 2010 00:00

Attention Williamsburg Foodies - Green Leafe has a new menu!

I came to the Leafe for lunch this week and as usual I had the Ahi Tuna sandwich. It is seriously one of my all-time favorite things to eat in town. I love the sourdough bread and the roasted red pepper and garlic aioli sauce. It is so tasty!  So, while I was there I had a chance to peruse the new menu and it looks really good!

The menu still features the classic fare (wraps, sandwiches and the famously delicious Leafe burgers) but they've added some new entrees (called Taphouse plates) which are now offered in two different sizes. In keeping with the Green Leafe tradition of all things beer, the new portions are references to barrel size. The full size, a double portion for heartier appetites, is called a keg. The smaller portion is a sixtel (a small barrel). These are available for both lunch and dinner.

I'm looking forward to returning either this weekend or next week to try some of their new menu items. On tap for me: Crab-Stuffed Tilapia - fresh tilapia stuffed with Chesapeake crab meat, served over citrus beurre blanc and seaweed salad (definitely the keg size!)And the Tomato Caprese - vine-ripened tomatoes with slices of fresh mozzarella and basil and drizzled in balsamic glaze. Yum! leafe-beer-bar

And if the new menu wasn't special enough Green Leafe is also featuring Daily Specials in both Downtown and New Town locations.

Sunday: Brunch

Monday: ½ Price Burgers

Tuesday: $8 Entrees

Wednesday: $8 All You Can Eat Pasta

Thursday: $5 Appetizers (Update:  All day!!)

Head over to the Green Leafe and pull up a seat for lunch or dinner.  Enjoy the new menu and some of their daily specials.  Let us know what you think!
