Dancing With the Williamsburg Stars is a fundraiser being produced by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Virginia Peninsula and the Rita Welsh Adult Literacy Program.

Local Williamsburg "stars" have been recruited and accepted the challenge to train with a professional dancer and compete in front of a live audience and distinguished panel of judges. Do you recognize any of these stars?

In partnership with BOBFM, Hope House Foundation invites you to celebrate the luck of the Irish at this year's "Shamrockin in Ghent" formally known as Greening of Ghent on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6-10 pm, on Colley Avenue in Ghent. The St.Patrick's Day celebration is free and open to the public.

Keeping the St. Patrick's Day street party tradition alive, Hope House Foundation in partnership with BOBFM is hosting Shamrockin in Ghent. Tis the luck of the Irish they'll be sharin' on Colley Avenue. All are welcome to the party of the year that has been a long standing tradition for the community.

Puttin' On The Tenor - A concert to benefit the animals

The Heritage Humane Society Auxiliary will present Anthony Kearns, one of the original Irish Tenors, in concert at 4:00 p.m. at the Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall, College of William and Mary Campus. All net proceeds from this concert will go to support the work of the Heritage Humane Society (HHS) in caring for and finding "forever" homes for abused and unwanted animals in the Greater Williamsburg Area.

Join Virginia Opera with more than 500 guests Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Norfolk's Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center.
The Gala is to raise funds to support Virginia Opera's educational endeavors and to increase its visibility while celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the organization.

The Gala is black tie but "WOW!" will it be fun for all! Starting at 6:00pm we will enjoy an evening cascaded in emerald green, dinner, dancing, entertainment, a silent auction and tons of friends. See and be seen!
